AOCA Executive Director to Retire

The long-time executive director of the Automotive Oil Change Association, Steve Christie, will retire at the end of September, the AOCA announced. Christie has been in his post for 16 years.

Under his leadership, the AOCA has grown into a leading authority in the convenient automotive services arena and became an international association. It has more than 3,500 member locations globally.

“Through the years he has always used patience, good humor and professionalism to keep the needs of our membership, the association and the industry at the forefront,” said a statement from the AOCA board of directors. “AOCA will miss his dedication and wishes him the best of luck in his next chapter of life.”

The board has established a search committee to review candidates to fill the executive director position.
