Take a Tour of the New ModernCarCare.com

Welcome to the new ModernCarCare.com. As you can see, we’ve been doing some redecorating, and we think you’ll appreciate many of the new aspects to the Web site. The primary changes include a single content stream on the homepage, enabling readers to easily scan the latest headlines of our news, feature articles and blogs. In addition, a special features area near the top of the homepage highlights stories we believe are of particular interest to carwash industry professionals.

New content will primarily be organized under one of two categories — either operations or marketing — which are accessible from our top navigation bar. The operations category entails everything outside of marketing related to running a car care facility, including environmental best practices, cost control, labor issues, insurance, planning and equipment.

Strategic marketing has become such a critical aspect of all successful commercial carwash and car care facilities that we decided to give it its own category. Here you’ll find stories focused on promotions, signage, loyalty programs, Internet marketing, community relations, revenue per car and anything marketing related that operators do to help bolster their bottom line.

Important industry topics, including detailing, fast lube, environmental issues, tunnel carwashing, self-serve carwashing, in-bay automatics and dozens of others may be accessed and tracked using our convenient Hot Topics area. Simply click on any of the featured topics under our top navigation bar to access related stories or click on the More Topics link to view our complete topics list.

The new Web site also enables us to expand our popular RSS feeds. Users can subscribe to a site-wide feed to receive notification of all stories posted online, or you can simply pick and choose among our categories and topics to pinpoint the stories and subject matter that mean the most to you.

Similarly, our e-newsletter offerings also will expand with the new Web site. We will continue to offer our comprehensive weekly e-newsletter and have added two bi-weekly e-newsletters that will focus on content filed under the operations and marketing categories, respectively.

You can sign up for these free e-mail updates by registering for a complimentary membership to ModernCarCare.com. To do so, simply check the appropriate boxes near the bottom right-hand corner of the homepage or access our registration page directly. Your free membership will enable you to take full advantage of all of our Web offerings, including e-newsletters, e-books and any Internet exclusives we may offer in the future. Industry professionals also can sign up for a complimentary subscription to our print magazine, if you do not already receive it.

We also have launched a mobile version of the Web site for car care professionals on the go or if you simply prefer to surf the Web using your BlackBerry or smart phone. You can view the mobile feed by clicking on the Mobile icon under “Follow Us” near the top of the homepage or go directly to http://m.moderncarcare.com/. This area of the homepage also provides direct links to our pages on Facebook and Twitter.

It’s a new era for carwash operators and car care facility managers, and ModernCarCare.com is committed to exploring new delivery methods to provide content that will help you run your businesses more efficiently and profitably. We believe the new Web site provides several convenient ways for you to keep up with all of the pertinent news and trends in the industry.
