Car Dealer Adds Dog Wash, Carwash
09/08/2006
WETASKIWIN, Alberta -- A carwash and a dog wash is in the works at Spruceview Motors. Spruceview Motors applied to the city, and was approved, for a conditional development permit which will see construction of a new carwash and car sales building constructed on the lot. While services are available within 56 Avenue, the lot Spruceview Motors occupies is not presently serviced with water, sanitary or storm water. “The proposal for the acreage has been in the works for a long time and now they are ready to proceed with a permanent building,” explained city development manager Randy Richards. “They will also expand to a carwash with auto touchless bays.” The car sales office would be at the front of the building and carwash vehicles will enter from the east end of the building. An RV dump will also be available and there will be a washing system on the outside of the building for larger vehicles. “They are planning landscaping along 57 Avenue,” noted Richards. “I think the pet wash idea is a very exciting addition,” noted Ald. Dale Unland. Spruceview Motors was started three years ago with a permit issued for its office for a two-year span. “They have been planning this for a long time,” Richards said.
