Mark VII Equipment Inc., the US subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, issued a press release announcing it has acquired the assets of Aqua-Pro Car Wash Systems. Aqua-Pro, based in the Dallas area, was a Texas distributor for Mark VII, and will continue to operate under the same name.
“This was the logical next step for the Aqua-Pro-Mark VII relationship,” said former Aqua-Pro owner Johnna Boyd, who will remain with the organization to ensure a smooth transition and work on special projects for Mark VII. “Our organizations are joined at the hip when it comes to serving the Texas carwash market."
Mark VII also announced the appointment of Rhett Fleming as director of key account development. Fleming comes from AIR-Serv Group, a supplier of air and vacuum machines to the automotive industry.
“I’m excited to have Rhett on our team,” said Craig Campbell, VP of Product Development and Strategic Business at Mark VII. “Although new to the carwash segment, he has spent his entire career developing key account relationships with major oil companies and other large players in the retail petroleum business, both of which are core markets for Mark VII. His depth of experience and fresh perspective will be invaluable to our sales efforts in this arena.”
