TV’s ‘Wife Swap’ Looking for Carwash Family

The ABC television series Wife Swap is casting its fifth season and wants to air a family that is passionate about its carwash business. The show is looking for a family with “spunky, outspoken kids” and a lot to say.

“In the five years we have been on the air, we have never had carwash owners on, so it would be wonderful to show a hardworking family that really loves what they do,” said Amanda Gershkowitz, casting associate producer.

Wife Swap is a documentary-style program that gives participating families an opportunity to share their beliefs and lifestyles with another family. In each episode, the mothers from two families exchange lives. For one week, each mom lives the life of the family she is staying with. The following week, after making observations, each then introduces several “rule changes,” implementing rules and activities that are important to her real family.

“It’s an amazing family experience and opportunity to learn how others lead their lives,” Gershkowitz said. “We want the carwash family to be proud of their way of life and want to teach something about their family to the other side.”

Families cast on the show receive $20,000 for their time and commitment to the project, she said. Wife Swap airs in prime time on Friday nights.
