The Western Carwash Association will host its first Car Wash Tour Jan. 19 in Phoenix during a two-day event designed to bring carwash operators together to share best practices on improving wash quality, customer service and employee relations. The program will include tours of four Phoenix-area carwashes, including full-service, exterior and self-serve; feature a complimentary lunch at the Proto-Vest facility in Glendale; and conclude with a social gathering at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale. Confirmed carwash tours include Cobblestone Auto Spa, Weiss Guys Self Serve Car Wash and Scottsdale Auto Salon. Cost to attend the event is $25 and includes a continental breakfast, bus transportation during the event, lunch at Proto-Vest and entry into Barrett-Jackson, considered by many to be the premier auto auction in the United States. In addition, a golf outing will be held Jan. 18 to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Cost and location for the golf event has not been finalized. Sponsorship of the WCA Car Wash Tour includes support from Proto-Vest, Modern Car Care magazine and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. “WCA is proud to partner with Modern Car Care to bring this unique opportunity to the western United States,” said Holly Macriss, executive director of the WCA. “We look forward to the success of this program and offering tours in other states in our region.” For more information or to download a registration form, please visit the WCA Web site at www.wcwa.org.
