Thomas & Betts’ HVAC division has released two new Reznor waste oil heaters. Models RA-250 and RAD-250 are designed to recycle used oils into free shop heat.

The Model RA is a standard unit space heater, while Model RAD is a ductable furnace, designed for ducting heat to wherever it is needed. Both models are rated for 250,000 Btu input.

A new chamber design offers extended run time between clean-outs, and both models were created with user-friendliness and low maintenance in mind.

A full, swing-out door, large service panels and convenient maintenance/service shelf provide easy access to the combustion chamber and heat exchanger. In addition, both models can be suspended from the ceiling or supported above a Reznor Workbench fuel tank to form a convenient waste oil recycling center. Both units also feature a state-of-the-art air atomizing burner; quiet, onboard air compressor; positive displacement fuel metering pump; and automatic, thermostat-controlled operation to provide consistent, dependable delivery of fuel and proper combustion.

Other features include a patented oil-preheating system, a backflow ash/draft sensor and operation hour meter.
