Advanced Mobile LLC, a provider of auto detailing and carwash services, has been accepted for a listing in the 2009 National Green Pages by qualifying for Green America’s Seal of Approval, the company announced. To qualify, Advanced Mobile passed a comprehensive review of its green practices and environmental commitment.
“We filled this niche long before global warming, world water crises, and historic unemployment became daily headlines,” said Doug Nafziger, CEO. “Washing cars by hand is a simple task, but customers appreciate we can help curb their carbon footprint while creating ‘green jobs’ and conserving water. We are proud to be the first carwash service recognized in the 25-year history of the National Green Pages.”
Nafziger said Advanced Mobile’s process enables the company to wash 30 vehicles on one gallon of water, resulting in a 99 percent reduction in associated CO2 emissions. “Applied nationwide, our method would save 60 billion gallons of water and 400 million pounds of CO2 emissions every year," he argued, in comparing Advanced Mobile's wash process to conventional carwashes.
Last year, Advanced Mobile needed just 335 gallons of a patented soap and water mixture to wash 10,000 vehicles in Seattle, Chicago and Portland, Ore., the company reported.
The mobile business was previously recognized as a national EPA Water Efficiency Leader and certified as a green business by King County EnviroStars.
