The International Carwash Association this week revealed new details regarding Wash Week, its traveling, week-long program (July 13-17) designed to provide carwash operators with ideas on how to grow their businesses. The program will consist of three in-person, regional seminars and feature online education and networking opportunities through videos, presentations, webinars and discussions.

The first in-person seminar will be held July 13 in Southern California, most likely in Orange County, followed by stops July 15 in Chicago and July 17 in Atlanta. Those programs will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a networking event. Former ICA president and multi-site operator Frank Lash will facilitate table discussions during one of the regional events, although the specific location has not been determined. Other facilitators are still being recruited.

The Wash Week webinars are scheduled for July 14 and 16, running twice each day at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Eastern time. Speakers and guests for those presentations also are being finalized.

All Wash Week activities will be free to ICA members and available for $49 to nonmembers, the association announced.

The in-person seminars will focus on ways to reduce expenses, increase revenue and build meaningful partnerships. Topics of discussion for expense reduction will include labor, chemicals, equipment, suppliers, water use and power management. Topics for increasing revenue will include marketing ideas, menu packaging, customer service and community service.

The webinars also will focus on how to reduce operational expenses and increase carwash revenue. Topics will include working with distributors and vendors, water and power management, and essential marketing ideas. The events will include live presentations followed by Q&A sessions.

Specific locations for the regional seminars, as well as registration details, are being finalized. However, registration for all Wash Week events is expected to begin by the middle of this month. For more information and to check for updates, visit the ICA Web site.
