Cleaning Systems Inc. (CSI) has received an upgrade certification to the ISO 9001:2008 standard for quality management systems. The certification is an internationally recognized standard determined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Certification to the standard is voluntary, and organizations must complete an auditing process by a third-party registrar. CSI’s certification was authorized by TUV Rheinland of North America, an independent testing and certification services company.
The upgrade was achieved because CSI made improvements to its quality management system through an extensive internal audit of its operations and business processes, company officials said.
“This certification represents the commitment to quality that is held by our teammates at all levels of our business and another milestone along our path of continual improvement,” said James Beno, CSI vice president and CEO.
CSI received its initial quality management ISO certification in 2001 and was upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 certification in October 2002. It was recertified for 9001:2000 last year.
The company is known in the carwash industry for its line of Lustra Professional Car Care Products.
