Waterway Gas & Wash and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will work together again this New Year’s Eve to offer their annual “Tie One On For Safety” event. Held each Dec. 31, volunteers from the Gateway Chapter of MADD tie red ribbons on customer vehicles to remind people to drive safely while ringing in the New Year.

Waterway Carwash and MADD have worked together to prevent drunk driving for more than 10 years. This year’s event will take place Thursday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waterway location in Creve Coeur, Mo.

“Waterway aims to promote safe driving,” said Shaun Nordgaarden, market leader for Waterway’s St. Louis East locations. “We are a proud supporter of MADD, a well-respected organization with a valuable message.”

The Creve Coeur Waterway location also is collecting donations on behalf of MADD daily through Dec. 31.

Waterway offers a wide range of carwash services, premium gasoline and both traditional and high-end convenience store items. The company has carwashes in the metro areas of St. Louis; Kansas City, Mo.; Denver and Cleveland.
