Former Louisiana governor Charles E. "Buddy" Roemer will deliver the keynote address during the Southwest Car Wash Association’s 2010 Convention & Car Wash EXPO. The show will be held Feb. 21-23 at the Arlington Convention Center and Sheraton Hotel in Arlington, Texas.

Roemer served as governor from 1988 to 1992. He will take the stage Feb. 22 as part of the convention’s general session, following a welcome address from SCWA President Charlie Gates and an industry update from Jeff Gheysens, the new president of the International Carwash Association.

Show highlights include a full slate of carwash industry education, as well as opportunities to meet industry leaders from the carwash services market, including equipment manufacturers and product suppliers. More than 200 exhibitors are expected.

Attendees may also participate in a Dallas Cowboys Stadium event Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. Participants will tour the $1.1 billion stadium and enjoy a reception in the locker room. The stadium seats up to 100,000 people and features two monumental arches, the world’s largest high-definition video board, and a retractable roof.

More details, including registration information, can found on the Southwest Car Wash Association Web site.
