Quick Quack Car Wash will offer free basic exterior washes Feb. 10 at all 13 of its locations as a thank you to customers and to encourage donations in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the company announced. In addition to customer donations, Quick Quack will donate $1 to St. Jude for every customer who upgrades from the free basic wash package to the Best Wash package.
Based in Sacramento, Calif., Quick Quack operates five locations in Sacramento; three in Lubbock, Texas; three in Amarillo, Texas; one in Tomball, Texas, near Houston; and one in Colorado Springs, Colo. The promotion will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at each facility.
The company’s 14th location, a full-service facility in California branded as Splash & Dash, will not be part of the event.
“This is an exciting first for us,” said Jason Johnson, president of Quick Quack Car Wash. “We have never had a coordinated free day at all locations before. We wanted a way to show appreciation for our loyal customers while also raising money and awareness for St. Jude, a truly special place that touches the lives of so many families.”
“We are excited to collaborate again with long-time partner Quick Quack Car Wash to raise money for St. Jude,” said Lauren Healey, event marketing representative for St. Jude. “No family is ever turned away from St. Jude because of an inability to pay. We hope Quick Quack Car Wash customers will join St. Jude in the fight against childhood cancer by donating to help save the life of a child.”
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the only pediatric facility to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute, according to the hospital. Founded by late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude freely shares its research discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world in its mission to find a cure for cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
