A carwash customer in Boulder, Colo., was injured March 3 when his own vehicle ran him over and trapped him beneath the car, according to a report by DailyCamera.com. Harvey Arnold washed his 1997 Lotus at a Conoco carwash without incident, but told police he was drying the passenger-side windows when the car began to move. Arnold said he left the vehicle in neutral with the emergency brake on.
The man apparently ran to the front of the car in an attempt to stop it from moving forward but got pinned underneath. Two witnesses stopped to help Arnold when they saw him trapped by the car, but firefighters had to be called in to raise the Lotus and free Arnold.
The 61-year-old suffered a fractured foot and other minor injuries, the article said.
