Lustra Professional Car Care Products recently converted six product forumlas to be phosphate-free and added three of them, TheOption EC, Lift-Off and UltraClear, to its environmentally friendly Earth Ready product line.
More than 100 products and 80 percent of the Lustra product line are now in the Earth Ready lineup.
The other items converted to phosphate-free are Low pH Sensation, LTD-5000 and Pearl Sealant – Reclaim.
These products also do not contain nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE), are biodegradable and meet compliance requirements for the European Union, company officials said. UltraClear EC and Lift-Off EC will be discontinued.
The products will be converted to their new formulas when existing stock is depleted, company officials said. A “new and improved” label will accompany the new formulations.
“We continue our commitment toward improving our environment and creating innovative products that are safe for vehicles, people and the communities we live in,” Lustra officials said in a press release.
