The Western Carwash Association’s board of directors recently voted to form a standing committee of supplier, distributor and manufacturer members. The committee will consist of nine members and meet three to four times per year via teleconference to discuss issues impacting the carwash industry, officials announced.

The purpose of the Suppliers Advisory Committee is to “provide supplier members of the WCA with a voice in the association and to ensure the board of directors has a direct way to get a pulse on the needs and concerns of our suppliers," said R.L. “Bud” Abraham, president of Detail Plus Car Appearance Systems, who will chair the committee.

Terms for committee members will be for one year on a volunteer basis.

WCA vendor members interested in participating in the Suppliers Advisory Committee should send inquiries via e-mail to Christina Shupe at christinas@wcwa.org. Be sure to include your name, title, company and contact information.

WCA leadership will review the submissions and fill committee positions from the applicant pool. All submissions will receive a response, officials said.
