For carwash industry professionals planning to attend Car Care World Expo 2010 next month, the International Carwash Association has set up an online tool that enables attendees to see which of their contacts are registered for the show.
Using an application called eventSocial from Three Stage Media, attendees can view which of their contacts from Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo!, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other sources also are listed in the show's registration system.
“Your contacts that are already attending the expo are immediately identified,” an ICA show announcement said today. “You can choose to send them an e-mail message using a customizable e-mail template, plan a time and location to connect at the show, or just see who else will be in Las Vegas in May.”
Attendees also can apply a little professional peer pressure by sending contacts who have not registered for the show a pre-populated message encouraging them to attend. The message includes a link to help them register.
Car Care World Expo will be held May 12-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The online networking tool can be accessed here.
The idea behind eventSocial is to create a single, social-networking destination for event participants. The networking platform has been used successfully by the National Association of Convenience Stores for the NACS Show.
According to Three Stage Media, social network integration enables attendees to follow an event’s Twitter account, join its LinkedIn group and become a Facebook fan. In addition, attendees can post personal status updates, tweets and wall comments via the eventSocial interface.
