Jiffy Lube’s service center technician training program, called Jiffy Lube University, was ranked 50th in Training magazine’s 11th annual Training Top 125 awards, the company announced. Jiffy Lube was one of just a handful of retail businesses on the list and the only automotive services company in the Top 125.
Jiffy Lube’s training program is designed to teach service center employees how to deliver an exceptional customer experience and provide thorough preventive maintenance services on any vehicle, company officials said. The company requires every Jiffy Lube service center technician to complete the program, which carries the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence’s ASE Certified designation.
Jiffy Lube University training combines state-of-the-art computer-based instruction, supervised on-the-job training and proficiency testing.
The program also was recognized in March during the Corporate University Xchange Awards. Jiffy Lube University received Best Practice awards in both the branding and launching categories. The branding honor was given for successfully developing and implementing innovative communication and branding strategies within the program, company officials said.
