Using the same acid-based, heat-activated dyes used in carpet mills, the Carpet Color Plus system can enhance, recolor or dye carpets and floor mats within a matter of minutes, according to Detail Plus.
The system features 16 dyes that are color-matched to the most common automobile carpet colors used by the major American, European and Asian automobile manufacturers, company officials said. No mixing is necessary. Operators use a color chart to identify the dye color that matches the vehicle carpet color, turn on the automated system and spray.
Operators will need to fill the system’s 1-gallon containers with the appropriate dye.
Carpet Color Plus systems include dyes, preparation chemicals and a cart with an electric pump and inline heater.
