Great Lakes Quick Lube LP has acquired two oil change service centers in Evansville, Ind. Both locations were owned and operated for nearly 20 years by a franchise of Grease Monkey, company officials said. Both facilities will now offer services under the Valvoline Instant Oil Change name.
“I am extremely excited about this particular acquisition because it allows us to build upon the existing good relationship we have with our current Evansville customers," said Jim Wheat, president of Great Lakes Quick Lube.
Great Lakes Quick Lube now operates eight Valvoline Instant Oil Change service centers in the Evansville and Owensboro markets. The acquisition also marks the company’s third expansion this year.
In August, Great Lakes Quick Lube acquired People’s Choice Car Wash and Lube in Franklin, Wis., expanding its market share in the Milwaukee area to 26 fast lube retail service centers and three supercenters offering preventive maintenance care, a full-service carwash and vehicle detailing services.
The West Allis, Wis.-based company now operates 106 service centers throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa, Indiana and Missouri.
