Fuller’s Carwash & Detail Center in Orland Park, Ill., is adding a 140-foot express carwash tunnel to satisfy customers who want faster service, according to a report by the Southtown Star. The full-service carwash and detail facility is closed while the $3.8 million express-exterior addition is constructed.
Owner Lawrence Fuller told the newspaper the facility will continue to offer full-service carwash and detailing services but that consumer demand for full-service packages has declined. Fuller’s operates 12 carwash facilities in the Chicago area and has added express service at two other locations. The company is considering adding express tunnels to at least two other carwashes, the article said.
Express washes will cost $3-$12, with free vacuums available. The carwash’s full-service pricing starts at $15.
The Orland Park carwash is expected to re-open by mid-December.
